Professor of Military Science // UNL Army ROTC
Lieutenant Colonel (LTC) Jamie Peer is the 63rd Professor of Military Science of the University of Nebraska – Lincoln Army ROTC program. LTC Peer, her husband Mark (also an Active Duty Major), and their three daughters Lori, Katie and Hailey have spent the majority of their time as a family in the great state of Kansas.
LTC Peer is a proud graduate of the Army ROTC program at Kansas State University, Manhattan, Kansas where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in History. She also holds a Master of Science Degree in Adult, Occupational, and Continuing Education from Kansas State. LTC Peer is an Army Adjutant General Corps (Human Resources) Officer.
LTC Peer originally enlisted in the Active Army in 1996. She has deployed twice, once to Taszar, Hungary is 1999, and once to Kabul, Afghanistan, July 1009-July 2010, where she served in the NATO Training Mission – Afghanistan / Combined Security Transition Command – Afghanistan as a Deputy Chief of Personnel. Her husband has deployed to both Iraq and South Korea.
LTC Peer’s military awards include the Bronze Star Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal (4th Oak Leaf Cluster), and the Army Commendation Medal and the Army Achievement Medal.
